Milspec was established after a management buyout of Australian Defence Industries Ltd (now Thales Australia) by Wendy and David Cooper in April 2002. The factory at 161 Fallon Street has been in operation for over 40 years, first as Australasian Training Aids, followed by ADI, and for the last 15 years, as Milspec Manufacturing.

Starting with just 1 client and 22 employees, Milspec have worked hard to establish themselves as the contract manufacturer of choice to defence and industry. With a growing employee pool of 95 staff, Milspec now boasts a customer base of over 100 defence and industry customers, including many domestic and international defence primes and rail infrastructure organisations.
